THE British Council funded project Connecting Classrooms has brought together nine teachers from Tanzania who have enjoyed an exciting week with their link schools: Ashperton, Bodenham, Ivington, Kimbolton, Kingsland, Leintwardine, Luston,Shobdon and Stoke Prior.
These primary schools have been working on reciprocal environmental projects for a year which have become all the more relevant as they welcomed the visitors into their schools to share the experiences. An action packed schedule has enabled the visitors to enjoy Herefordshire to the full with a spirit of community, hospitality and sharing.
The Tanzanian visitors had a wonderful day in Hereford and visitors to the cathedral were treated to the most beautiful impromptu singing that was a fitting end to a busy weekend that included a visit to Shobdon Food and Flying Festival.
