AT a recent two hour public Heartstart course held at the Starlite Rooms in Hereford, Herefordshire Heartstart volunteer instructors trained their 20,000 person.

The certificate of attendance was awarded to Janet Lloyd by volunteers from the charity.

Four Herefordshire Heartstart volunteers were on hand, to demonstrate what to do if someone was unconscious, how to deal with choking, serious bleeding, heart attack, and CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation). Participants were also given the chance to practice recovery position and CPR.

Herefordshire Heartstart have been teaching members of the public how to save a life at their two hour free Heartstart How to Save a life Courses since 1996.

They continue to support the people of Herefordshire by offering these courses across the county to various groups, other voluntary organisations, community groups, businesses and schools, which means more people can learn basic first aid skills to potentially save a life.
