AUDIENCES in Yarpole are in for a cabaret feast when Arts Alive treats them to an evening with the fabulous duo ShooShooBaby tomorrow night.

The company comes loaded with glowing reviews. ‘Shoo Shoo Baby’ was the title of a 1943 song by The Andrews Sisters and the duo revel in classic songs from the 1920s to the 1950s, made famous by the artists they love such as Marilyn Monroe, the Andrews Sisters and Marlene Dietrich. With fresh new arrangements in ShooShoo’s signature 'retro-fication' style - modern songs performed in a swing or Charleston style - Off the Scale includes witty new arrangements of well-known songs by an eclectic cast of composers such as Irving Berlin, John Denver, Verdi and Elvis Costello, alongside original music.

ShooShooBaby say their target audience is aged 40 years and up – but the show is suitable for anyone aged 9+ who enjoys swinging songs and top-quality professional musicianship. And Sian Kerry of Arts Alive adds: "Sizzling fun cabaret duo – with fabulous frocks!"

ShooShooBaby go Off the Scale at St Leonards Church, Yarpole, HR6 0BD, 7.30pm tomorrow (Friday). Tickets £8.50/£5/£25 (family) 01568 780874 Full details and online bookings www.artsalive.co.uk
