Herefordshire Business News: MG Sports cars to cross Whitney-on-Wye toll bridge

MORE than 25 MG sports cars will be crossing the toll bridge at Whitney-on-Wye on Sunday (May 20).
The Herefordshire MG Owners Club run will leave Hereford Leisure Centre at 10am and will be crossing the bridge around 11am.
The sports car enthusiasts are not the only ones heading over the bridge.
"Since we bought Whitney-on-Wye Toll Bridge and moved into the toll cottage we've been been in the media spotlight in local and national press, radio and TV all over the world," said Maggie Taylor, who with husband and partner Grahame Penny, bought the bridge in January of this year.
"The media interest has really put this historic monument well and truly back on the tourist map.
"I regularly receive emails from people in Japan and America who want to come and visit us while they are on holiday in the country."
"On a more local note we're seeing a lot more people from Herefordshire cross the bridge."
