A FORMER Hereford student is taking the fashion world by storm, having scooped two prestigious awards.
Sarah Williams, who studied at Hereford College of Arts between 2003 and 2006, travelled to Italy to collect the prize for best accessory from drink producer Absolut Vodka.
The 25-year-old, who was brought up in Leominster, designed a carry case for the bottle of the popular drink.
She also won the accessories collection of the year for a number of leather goods which she designed and produced.
The prizes were awarded during the final evening of an international competition for young creative talents from the fashion, design and photography trade.
Each entrant had been asked to design an accessory to celebrate the famous vodka brand. Sarah came up with a design for the leather carrier, with the special addition of a case for serving.
“I'm really happy to have received this important accolade from Absolut Vodka for the case I designed,” said Sarah.
“My design combines the distinctive shape of the iconic Absolut bottle with a craft-made product, creating an object with a new, original concept.”
Sarah is currently working for leather goods company Daines and Hathaway in Walsall, West Midlands.
