A LEDBURY butcher is looking to bring home the bacon in a national competition.
D T Waller and Sons have cooked-up a locally-sourced and traditionally prepared treat for Bacon Connoisseurs Week.
The annual event starts on March 22 and includes a competition to find Britain’s best bacon.
The Homend business hopes to taste success with its smoked oak and beech chippings in the voting later this month. They have also entered a Palmercetta bacon, named after curer Gerald Palmer.
