Herefordshire photographers put talents into focus

A HEREFORDSHIRE photographer who has been spreading the word in London now has Las Vegas in her sights.

Suzanne Stinton-Heeley was invited to speak at the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers convention – an annual event held in Hammersmith.

More than 2,000 photographers from around the world attended the three day event. Suzanne spoke for more than an hour to around 250 people.

“It was a honour to be invited to speak at the convention.

Often regional photographers are overlooked in favour of international and London-based photographers,” said Suzanne.

“I was presenting alongside some of the biggest names in the business, which surely proves that Herefordshire businesses can compete on any level.”

Suzanne has also been invited to submit images to the Wedding and Portrait Photographers International Conference.

This takes place in Las Vegas in March and Suzanne will be attending to watch the judging.

Suzanne runs Perfect Image and has a studio located in Dormington.

■ Meanwhile, Much Marcle wedding photographers John and Jill English, better known as English Rose Weddings, scooped the best wedding photographer award at the UK Wedding Awards.

These were presented at a dinner in London with more than 200 names from the UK bridal industry attending an evening hosted by ITV’s Jenni Falconer.

Accepting the award, Jill said: “We are lucky to be a small part of what is such a special day for each and every couple. The award is as much for our brides as it is for us.”

The couple are originally from Devon but moved to their studio in Much Marcle more than three years ago.
