A HEREFORD factory has received a prestigious award for the second year running.

Cargill Meats Europe, based at Grandstand Road, was commended for its Fresh Ideas mustard chicken range in the traditional foods category of The Grocer own label excellence awards. The meal has been on Morrisons’ shelves since February and fought off tough competition from other supermarket ranges.

The company was also nominated in the ethnic chilled foods category for its cajun chicken meal.

“Having two products nominated for the awards is an achievement in itself and winning back-to-back own label awards with Morrisons is a fantastic feat,”

said managing director Richard Maxfield.

“All of our staff show great dedication to produce creative, intuitive products.”
