A HEREFORD business is going places.
Industrial firm KGD, has been named 10th in the list of fastest growing export SMEs in the UK by the Sunday Times.
The news came on the back of continued expansion of the company – both locally and overseas.
Rotherwas-based KGD now employs more than 100 people in Hereford, manufacturing a range of fluid handling packages primarily for oil and gas offshore facilities all over the world.
The nomination was recognition of the growth in sales overseas through taking on larger contracts with support from the government backed UK Export Finance Scheme.
KGD plans further expansion over the coming months to build on the successes already achieved.
The company will be recruiting more apprentices this summer to join the 15 currently in the four-year apprenticeship schemes offered at the company, to further develop the skilled work force required for exporting equipment to offshore facilities worldwide.
