Young progressive metal band Nycosia (aged 15-16) are living the dream. They are appearing in the heats for Metal 2 The Masses at The Thunderbolt in Bristol on Thursday, February 12.
This is a nationwide event where the winning band gets to play the New Blood stage at Bloodstock Festival.They are not the only Hereford band to be taking part as Brocken Spectre appeared in one of the earlier heats on February 5. The band recently found a talented drummer in Noah Plant, a first year student at Hereford college. The other members of the band consist of Theo Beech , Billy Kibble and Lily Harper. Nycosia recently played at The Marrs Barr in Worcester where they played a tremendous set to rave reviews. The gig at Bristol is then followed by Hillview Rockfest at Up Hatherley,Cheltenham on February 28 and Vixens of Volume at the Lower George Inn in Gloucester on March 21. The band continue to work on original material and have plans to record their debut EP in April.
