A HEREFORD based law firm has become the official legal services partner for British Dressage.

Harrison Clark Rickerbys (HCR) will provide services to both members and the board of the organisation responsible for the competitive equestrian sport where horse and rider are expected to perform a series of pre-determined moves from memory.

British Dressage includes among its membership world class riders, through to non-competing weekend riders and all interest levels in between.

A specialist eight strong legal team from HCR dedicated to equestrian, agricultural and rural business aspects of law will provide support to British Dressage members, who can use a free legal helpline to enquire on any aspect of law.

Headed by solicitor and keen horsewoman, Alison Goodwin, the advice line will benefit those involved with horses and needing related legal services.

Alison Goodwin, associate solicitor and head of Equine at HCR, said: "We anticipate that members will find the helpline invaluable, from checking more minor matters, such as the details of loan agreements, to advice on syndication/joint ownership and sponsorship agreements, termination of employment contracts for riders, grooms and trainers and disputes relating to the sale and purchase of a dressage horse or pony."
