A PRIZE of £10,000 is now up for grabs for the national winner of the
Local Business Accelerators contest.
The contest, featuring in selected local and regional newspapers across the UK including the Hereford Times, has had the cash sum added by the Business Growth Fund (BGF), an independent business established to help the UK’s fast growing smaller and medium sized businesses.
The contest already offers the chance to win a year’s mentoring from
the campaign’s ambassador, Deborah Meaden, star of Dragons’ Den, and a
local advertising campaign devised by a top London creative ad agency.
The campaign aims to showcase the unique power of the local press
to deliver a boost to local businesses and will be supported by Business in You.
It will search for the area's most promising young businesses and help them accelerate their success with top professional advice.
Our Local Business Accelerators winners will be chosen by a panel of Hereford Times judges.
They will shortlist entries before awarding three lucky local businesses
their prizes.
One business will then progress to the next round of the competition.
This year the contest is backed by Mervyn King, the Governor of the Bank of England, and fronted by Deborah Meaden.
