My name is Dominic Fawcett and I'm Hereford's first Little Mayor. I am 11 years old and live in Lugwardine and my role this year will be to accompany the mayor Chris Chappell on some of his
engagements to help increase public awareness of the mayor's role and the city council.

I am a Year 6 pupil at St Francis Xavier's RC Primary School and I think it's very cool and important that I have been chosen as the first little mayor - and I am looking forward to learning more
about the heritage of Hereford.

Little Mayor Day

Last Wednesday I went on a visit to the Hereford Times offices as part of Little Mayor Day.

On Monday, my family and I went to see the City silver and charters.

First night at the panto

When I went to the opening night of the pantomime, I found out that when you are being the Mayor, you have to keep going, keep smiling and shaking hands even if you are really tired. We met the Mayor's officer at the Town Hall and went to the pantomime in the civic car and I had to wear a blazer (I didn't like the blazer) and the chain.

Switching on the Christmas lights

On Sunday me and the Mayor went to switch on the Christmas lights in high town. Wyvern FM and the Dame from the Snow White pantomime were there and the whole of high town was stuffed with people.
