A victory for Jesse, and a victory for Hereford

It was a long, hard battle. But Hereford will at last be well represented in Parliament. The election of Jesse Norman on 6th May was not only a victory for Jesse or the Conservative Party; it was a victory for the whole of Hereford.

The fight for the Hereford and South Hereford seat proved to be unpleasantly personal, with Jesse subject to unfair and untrue slurs from the opposition. But the honest approach adopted by Jesse and his team proved to be successful, demonstrated by a five percent win over Sarah Carr. It proved that clean campaigning can work, and that the electorate prefer positive politics to negative campaigning, the politics of fear and scaremongering.

It was the unique cross party appeal Jesse holds that made this victory possible. His strong local approach attracted the support of senior Liberal Democrat councillors, and won many first time Conservative voters.

Finally, after years of neglect, we can be sure that the concerns of Hereford will be heard in a loud and powerful voice. Our county will no longer be a forgotten place of no interest or significance within the House of Commons.

Britain now have a forward thinking government that can guide us through these difficult times. We can be sure that Jesse will fight for a fair deal for Hereford. Even before his election, he had strived to make Hereford a better place for all. The Kindle centre is a perfect example of his determination to help the community.

The people of Herefordshire have put their trust in Jesse, and he will not let us down. There is no one better to represent our beautiful county.
