Councillor gets on his bike!

Firstly, thanks ever so much to the great people at the Hereford Times for providing me with the opportunity of updating you with details of my charity cycle ride. Preparations for this 1100 mile ride in aid of Barrs Court School have not been the best with some mild flu rearing its ugly head. Thus, apart from going to a planning meeting last Wednesday and delivering a few newsletters to my local residents, I took as much ‘shut-eye’ as possible last week – and started on the weekend.

The start of the bike ride has coincided with Barrs Court School being named by OFSTED as one of the few outstanding Special schools in the Country. It is indeed a fantastic institution, which, without doubt is a shining example of Herefordshire’s ongoing record as one of the best places in the country for primary and secondary education.

I will provide readers with an update of days 1-4 of the cycle ride in the next day or two.
