Much has been written in regards to the question "Are We Alone?"...but I'm going to twist the meaning of the question a little bit.
When I ask the question "Are We Alone?", I'm referring to 'we' as those who look up to the clear night sky and think....wow !
On Tuesday my Dad and I toddled along to The Kindle Centre on the ASDA complex to the first meeting of the Herefordshire Astronomical Society. In this instance, 'we' were certainly not alone. There
were about 40 people from all walks of life who either had some level of expertise in Astronomy, maybe even formal qualifications, or were like myself and my Dad - people who look up and say
'Wow!'

I definitely don't think we are alone and that there are more of you 'closet' astronomers out there !!
Keeping the space theme going, it was sad to hear of the death of Science Fiction writer Sir Arthur C Clarke.
As well as writing entertaining stories, he is responsible for amongst other things the concept of the geostationary telecommunications satellite.
One final point from me. If any of you are thinking of re-enacting the Crucifixion, nails and all, please take note of Health & Safety guidance from the Philippines here !!
That's all from me for now.....
