Switching on the Christmas lights

On Sunday me and the Mayor went to switch on the Christmas lights in high town. Wyvern FM and the Dame from the Snow White pantomime were there and the whole of high town was stuffed with
people.
I got to stand on the stage and talk into the microphone. James and Marie from Barrs Court shcool were also there and they came up onto the stage afterwards and talked to AJ the DJ. It was more nerve
wracking than the installation ceremony because there were so many more people I didn't know them all, but I was chuffed to be there and when we pushed the plunger some of the lights at least went on
at the right time (some of them seemed to go on early). The Dame invited me and teh Mayor to go backstage after the opening night of Snow White at the Courtyard and I'm really looking forward to
that.
