There are changes happening in my life, things that I will share with you when I next blog. They are big changes requiring a lot of attention to detail. That's all I will say for the moment, or
perhaps I should say 'watch this space'.
We were away for the May Fair, arriving home just at the very end of it. I know there is loads of controversy over keeping it in the city centre. Having been to my Drs. surgery on one of the last
days of the fair and his office is behind the main buildings on King Street, I was amazed at how behind a building, indoors, windows and doors shut how you could still hear the music. Surely there
must me a legal limit on what is healthy for one's ears. As for keeping it in the city centre, I have my opinions but will not stir the already murky waters. After all, I still feel like a visitor
here even after living here for 4 years and thus don't feel that I have a right to give my opinion.
It's lovely to see all the baskets and flowers and pots that are blooming in people's gardens. I do enjoy spring and summer, in spite of the hayfever.
The Red Hat Society of Hereford continues growing. There are now 29 members on our roster. Not everyone can attend every event so with that many members we still have good attendance. We had a quiz
night on the 22 at the local Farmer's Club with 14 participating. We had a lovely time. June will find us in our home having a planning meeting for the future events, that's the 13th at 7:30, please
contact me if you want to come as a potential member 01432 353171. July we are having a BBQ where partners will be included. That's to be the 7th of July. A contribution of £1.50 per head for paper
goods and meat will be accepted, again, if you are interested in attending, please contact me. Nationally, the Red Hat Society is growing as well, at last count there were 97 chapters all over the
country. In October there will be a national convention at Colchester. This will be a wonderful time to get to know the other chapters and our red hatted sisters from across the country.
Until next time...Cheers!!
