I wrote last week about our meeting at The Green Dragon and how the BBC came along and interviewed us for their local internet program. It's not been put on yet but the moment I have a link for it, I will post it here. Wednesday (yesterday) five of us braved the cold to appear on Katie Johnson's program on BBC Hereford Worcester radio. She was very kind to us and allowed us to get the word out to other like-minded ladies about our little group. I say 'little' but we continue to grow with still 2 more members this week.

Our next meeting is the 22nd of February with a meal at the Axe & Cleaver out on the Ross Road. If you want to come along, please phone me by the 16th of February at 01432 353171 to book your spot.

Bigger and better plans for our March meeting with an outing to The Everyman Theatre in the works to see a play, have a meal, take a back stage tour and just have a great time together. These have to be booked 4 weeks in advance so come to the meeting on the 22nd prepared to pay for your ticket and coach fare.

It's exciting to see how we are growing and so much fun to see the look on folk's faces when they spot the group of us out in our red hats and purple clothes.

On another note, wasn't the snow beautiful this morning! I love the way it sticks to the branches of the trees. We took the mad, setter, Ben for a walk and he loved playing in the snow as did every other dog we came across. What is it about snowfall that brings out the child in all of us? Who can't resist making a snowball and tossing it? Not me!!

Hello Cindi,
My name is Linda Kellum and I am the Queen of the Merry Milliners, a Chapter from the USA.
I read your post in the Red Hat Society Newsletter and saw the picture of your Chapter.
It is so good to know just how many ladies all over the world all just want to "escape" the everyday "stuff" and have fun.
Once you put that Red Hat on there's no turning back. It just keeps on getting better and better.
We are all alike. We are all just mothers, wives, sisters who want to break loose and have fun. It is about time...By the time one reaches 50 there should be some outrageous happenings that we can participate in.
Good luck to your group and I hope that there will be many more Chapters in you area before long.
In Red Hat Friendship,
Queen Linda Kellum, The Merry Milliners
