I've been lucky enough through my recent affiliation with the Red Hat Society and my attempts to get a chapter started here in Hereford to meet some absolutely lovely women. One of them is a
published author who makes her home in Leominster.
Unfortuantely Hereford is too far for her to travel for meetings as there are health issues as well as transportation but as far as I am concerned Jo Mary is an honorable member of our chapter at
least until I can entice someone to start a chapter out that way.
Anyway, I say all that to say that Jo Mary very generously sent me a copy of her autobiography to read. It's titled Light in the Dust and covers her life from 1939 to 1960. I am only a few chapters
into it and find it fascinating that this lovely lady came from such a harsh background. I've always said 'that which does not kill us will make us stronger'. Jo Mary is certainly living proof of
that. Should you want to read this book and get to know Jo Mary, she has a website at www.jomarystafford.org.uk where you can contact her to buy a copy of the paperback edition of this book for £5.99
plus postage and packing. I highly recommend it.
