Concern grows for missing 73-year-old from Leominster
9:15am Wednesday 17th October 2012 in News By Lydia Johnson
CONCERN is growing for the welfare of a 73-year-old man who went missing from his home in Leominster yesterday evening.
Fred James Morrell was last seen when he left his home on Buckfield Road, Leominster, at around 4.45pm yesterday, and despite him having gone missing twice before, Police say he is now 'particularly vulnerable' as there were concerns about his mental state when he left home.
There have been no sightings of him since yesterday and his family have been unable to make contact with him.
Mr Morrell is described as being white, around 5ft 7ins tall, as having a slim build and thinning grey hair that is usually brushed forward.
He was last seen wearing dark blue trousers, a grey zip up cardigan over an orange and white chequered shirt and a scruffy, dark blue jacket. He was also wearing black slip on shoes.
A large number of police officers are involved in the search for him and Chris Ammonds, police press officer, said that 'concern grows for him with every hour that passes'.
Anyone with information on where Mr Morrell is or who believes they may have seen him since he went missing can contact West Mercia Police on 101 or 0300 333 3000.
