Power cut affects thousands of Hereford properties

ALMOST four thousand properties in Hereford were left without power this lunchtime.
Homes and businesses in the Hampton Dene and Old Eign Hill area of the city were cut off for around 45 minutes.
Western Power Distribution said the cause was 'debris' which blew into an overhead power line.
Engineers were called just after 1.30pm with power restored by 2.15pm.
