Train services still disrupted due to flooding

TRAIN services in Herefordshire are still disrupted this morning following yesterday's flooding.

There are still no trains running from Great Malvern to Hereford due to emergency engineering works taking place at Colwall.

Both London Midland and First Great Western are operating a limited replacement bus service at the moment and do not envisage when services will resume to normal.

There are also delays of up to an hour on Arriva Trains Wales line between Hereford and Shrewsbury due to flooding.

Check our live travel page for up-to-date information and call reporter Lydia Johnson with your delay stories on 01432 845879.

• Meanwhile, the following roads are still closed: C1122 Marden,
U93605 Kington (coming from Ivington) and C1001 Buckton - Walford.

Don't you just love the accurate reporting of HT?

To be fair to them, the National Rail site now say "Because of this, there are currently no trains between Great Malvern and Hereford. This will continue until further notice".

However, this wasn't the case at the time of reporting, though as they've turned out to be correct it wouldn't be right to criticise any further. Maybe HT actually spoke to somebody and got information that was more accurate than the National rail site was. Fair play if so.

For anyone looking on the Hereford Times website for an update on this, National Rail are now saying that they hope that services will be back to normal by tomorrow (Wednesday 26th) morning
