JULIA Donaldson, the best-selling author of The Gruffalo , a modern classic loved by children and parents far and wide, will be at Waterstones in Hereford on Thursday, September 27 to sign copies of her books, including Superworm , her new book with Axel Schiffer, and the new Room on the Broom Sound Book.
Catherine Vaughan, children’s bookseller at Waterstones, was thrilled to receive the phone call from Julia Donaldson’s publisher suggesting the signing: “We feel incredibly honoured to have Julia Donaldson - the creator of The Gruffalo ! It’s an unprecedented event for Hereford Waterstones.
Julia is currently the seventh Children’s Laureate, following Quentin Blake, Anne Fine, Michael Morpurgo, Jacqueline Wilson, Michael Rosen and Anthony Browne.
She will also sign copies of Paper Dolls , which is being made available for the book signing ahead of publication in October. The book signing at Waterstones takes place on Thursday, September 27, from 4.30pm to 5.30pm and it will be first come first served.
