Schools works together to reduce carbon footprint
11:50am Tuesday 18th September 2012 in News
Herefordshire schools have been working on a project to reduce their carbon emissions.
Eardisley , Ewyas Harold , Garway, Ledbury , Madley , Marlbrook, St James’ Kimbolton , Orleton and Whitchurch primary schools, as well as Aylestone Business and Enterprise College, the Bishop of Hereford’s Bluecoat School and Fairfield High School have been liaising with Herefordshire Council and the Carbon Trust on a pilot scheme.
The schools have seen the benefits of reducing their energy usage with lower energy costs easing the impact of rising fuel costs or possible fuel shortages.
