Who writes this stuff???

Stolen from Hereford possibly but stolen "in" Hereford?
By very nature of the fact that it has been stolen, it is not "in" Hereford any longer.
I thought the Aga fire was bad enough...

Moreteavicar - I believe, for once, that the HT is grammatically correct. It can't be stolen 'from' Hereford as Hereford doesn't own it, surely. Of course, it may still be 'in' Hereford as well.

You/HT would be correct if the headline read "Caravan stolen in Hereford" - but it doesn't....

Agreed, clamps or do what some motorcyclists do with is to get a really heavy iron ring and cement it into a hole in the ground if you have hard standing in your front garden. Attach heavy chain to caravan and the other to the ring and lock with a few very good padlocks.

The headline really doesn't make sense to me. Personally I think it should have been written:

'Caravan Stolen in Hereford'.

It's very slack journalism...

All due respect to the HT for changing the headline. It appears they listen to what their readers are saying and can take constructive critisism. Perhaps they could teach Hereford Council a thing or two ;)

Lukio. TIG (This is Gloucestershire) ought to employ the HT employees or at least follow their example

Also "Withybrook close" is actually nowhere near the Rotherwas access rd, it's opposite Eign sewer works at the top end of the straight mile!!!
