POTTING Potting Shed M maintained their unbeaten start to Hereford Snooker League with a hard-fought 3-2 win against Railway in the third round of matches.

Skipper Anthony Powell won the important third point after earlier wins by Kay Richards and Chris Evans.

Herodians continued their fine start with a 4-1 success against WTC, P Davies avoiding the whitewash by winning the first frame.

Military B are also unbeaten and gained a 4-1 success against Conmen, Richard Snowzell being the only winner for the away side.

In the first derby of the season, Potting Shed Z outpotted their A team, despite losing the first frame to Craig Edmunds. Tom Cousins hit back with a 44 break in his frame, while Chris Richards beat Allen Rea on the black.

Glyn Biffen had a 37 break in helping Police A beat Miller Boys 3-2. Stewart Roberts had breaks of 38 and 40 in his win for the Boys.

Farmers A lost out at Flukey Few who won the first three frames through Craig Doyle, Paul Jenkins and Tim Bunclark.

Percy Fitzgerald won the deciding frame to clinch victory for Farmers B against Legionnaires with four frames decided on the black, and Reds beat club mates Way off Cue, Martin Hughes winning the decider after losing the first two frames.
