Herefordshire will be represented at Moreton Show

THE Moreton Show may be on the borders of Gloucestershire and Worcestershire, but Herefordshire is going to have a big presence at the show this year on September 1.

The show has kept true to its roots and is still very much an agricultural and horse show.

One of the big attractions at the show includes the livestock parade, which takes place in the Grand Arena and includes the Poll Hereford Cattle.

This year there will be 49 Poll Hereford Exhibitors, who attend the show to compete in The National Poll Show, which is run by The Hereford Cattle Society.

Herefordshire traders will also be represented by producers such as Pixley Berries, Celtic Marches, Monkhide Country Wine and Just Rachel Ice Cream in the Country Larder Food Hall.

General Manager Clare Foster also has a Herefordshire connection as she lives in Ledbury.

Clare has been working with Moreton Show for two years and is looking forward to another successful show.

She said: “This year will be the 60th Moreton Show and we have some really exciting attractions, including Jean Francois Pignon, the horse whisperer who performed for the queen earlier this year, and the JCB dancing diggers.

“We have the usual horse of the year qualifiers and, of course, all the livestock classes and the very popular poultry show.”

Tickets for the Moreton Show can be bought online at moretonshow.co.uk or by calling 01608 651908.
