Company boss tweeted about buying a boat as staff faced pay cuts

WITH his staff facing pay cuts, the head of 2gether – the NHS foundation trust providing mental and social health care services to Herefordshire – has admitted to buying a new boat.

Paul Clee has come under fire for tweeting from Cornwall about his new boat in an exchange with an NHS worker on Gloucestershire.

The new purchase, described as a fast day boat for inshore or river fishing, comes as staff at 2gether wait for the results of a review into staff pay and conditions, with salary cuts and redundancies real possibilities.

Responding to anger at the tweet, 2gether said the timing of the message on a personal feed was “regretful”.

Well perhaps Paul Clee should be told that his decision to buy a new boat 'was regretful' and your salary can be better used to keep other employees in a job.
Why are 'the fat cats' allowed to get away with things like this?
