School comes out of special measures
11:30am Monday 6th August 2012 in News
A HEREFORDSHIRE school has been taken out of special measures following its latest Ofsted.
Ofsted inspector Michael Smith found Withington Primary School, which was placed in special measures last October, now provides a satisfactory standard of education.
The school, which is in a federation with Aylestone Business Enterprise College and works closely with Marlbrook Primary School, was rated good for behaviour and safety of pupils, and its leadership and management.
Suzie Bishops, the school’s head of learning, said: “We are absolutely delighted to come out of special measures and want to carry on the journey to good and then outstanding.
“We have all worked very hard and it has been fantastic news.
