Flooding update in Herefordshire

A riverside common in Ross-on-Wye got flooded A riverside common in Ross-on-Wye got flooded

MOTORISTS are being reminded to extra care on the roads this afternoon as flood water has brought some severe problems.

Most of the deluge seems to have hit south Hereforshire, especially in and around Ross-on-Wye.

Residents in Smallbrook Gardens had to be evacuated this morning as water got into their houses, while Woodedege in Tudorville also got badly flooded.

Ashfield Park Primary School in Ross also report that they got flooded and have closed for the day.

Elsewhere, the M50 is closed between junctions one and two near Ledbury, as is the B4361 in Leominster.

Both the B4348 at Wormelow and Green Lane in Yarpole are just about passable though.

Thanks to Councillor Russell Hamilton for physically helping with the clearing up after the floods at Hoarwithy, I know a lot of people that are grateful for all that you have done
