Bob Slayer, Hereford comedian, is now on the mend.
Hereford comedian Bob Slayer broke his neck while trying to crowdsurf in a wheelie bin at a rock festival.
Bob was entertaining the crowd at the Download Festival in Leicestershire when he tried to bounce across a wooden table to bridge the space between the crowd and the stage.
His intention was for the audience to pick the bin up and carry him around the room before putting him back on stage.
But, instead he was toppled out of the container and thrown to the ground.
"I never quite know what is going to happen and it was just a bit of nonsense really," said Bob, who will be hosting the comedy talent at Nozstock Festival near Bromyard next month.
But Bob only knew the extent of his injuries when he disclocated his thumb and went to A&E.
"They X-rayed my hand and the diagnosis was that is is quite a bit knackered," he said.
"They then asked about my neck, so I tell them about the wheelie bin beofr more x-rays - I have cracked my vertebrae."
He added that it will not stop him being a comedian, but his days of crowd surfing in wheelie bins are now behind him.
