Former pub sold to local firm

THE former Karlo’s pub on the corner of Widemarsh Street and Newtown Road has been sold.

Commercial property agent Turner and Company has confirmed the sale of the landmark site - formerly The Entertainer - for an undisclosed sum to local antiques company Signature Interiors.

The company currently based in Barrs Court Road is to fit out the former pub as an interiors and antiques showroom by September.

good, for once i am pleased. that part of widemarsh street could do with a wash and brush up.
now get the rail bridge and that awful bend sorted.
