The Olympic torch has left Herefordshire - but will be back tomorrow when it travels through Ross-on-Wye on route to Cardiff.

It has been a day to remember for the thousands of people who lined the route and watched the torch pass through Ledbury, Bartestree, Lugwardine, Hereford and Leominster today.

Seven-year-old Jack Lee, who was watching the relay in Lugwardine with his mum Carly, summed it up when told the Hereford Times seeing the torch had been "amazing, amazing amazing".

There were huge cheers for the torch bearers, including former Olympian Sharron Davies who carried the torch through Leominster.

The flame is now in convoy on route to Ludlow.

From Shropshire it will travel to Worcester where it will stay overnight before beginning Day 7 of 70 of its UK tour.
