A sheepdog was almost blinded when she ran into broken fencing in Bartestree.
Dog walker Atlanta Kent, who was walking Holly when the accident happened, is worried more animals or children could be injured in the same way.
Atlanta, who is now too nervous to walk her dogs in the field near her house, says she had been unable to contact the owner of the field to get the railings removed, although they have now been taken down by members of the public.
Seven-year-old Holly is now on the mend but did require veterinary treatment to make sure the wound was clean.
