Happy couple: Laurence Jenkins and Sophie Carpenter
Hereford soldier Laurence Jenkins proposed to his childhood sweetheart shortly after passing out as a Royal Marine commando.
Laurence got down on one knee before Sophie Carpenter in front of his whole troop and an audience of proud parents and family at Lympstone commando training centre, near Exeter.
Laurence, who was born in Little Dewchurch, and Sophie, from Victoria Park, Hereford, both 25, met at St Mary’s RC High School in Lugwardine.
