Raise money by off-roading

A quiet hamlet is hoping noisy off-road 4x4s will help save its historic church.

High octane 4x4 driving trials will be taking place at Leinthall Starkes, near Wigmore, to help raise funds for the 12th century church of St Mary Magdalene.

As well as watching professional drivers, members of the public can test their own mettle on the Off-Road Thrill Ride or bring along their own fourwheel drive and test out a special six-mile course for beginners.

The event runs at Limebrook Farm on May 19 and 20.

Proceeds will be split between the church fund, Macmillan Cancer Support and the Midlands Air Ambulance.
