Chelsea manager Roberto Di Matteo goes from beating Hereford United as MK Dons manager to taking Chelsea to the Champions League final

ROBERTO Di Matteo has gone from beating Hereford United to guiding Chelsea to the Champions League final – in just three years.

While United are on the verge of Football League relegation, Di Matteo last night slayed Barcelona in a remarkable Champions League semi-final.

But just three years ago, the Italian was boss of League One outfit MK Dons - his last game in charge was a 1-0 success at Hereford United.

How times change.

The Bulls will be relegated on Saturday if they fail to win at Crawley and Barnet beat AFC Wimbledon.

The Hereford team that faced MK Dons on May 5, 2009 was:

Gulacsi, Gwynne, Rose, Gowling, Taylor, Myrie-Williams, Smith (Jones, 87 min), Diagouraga, Done (Brandy, 82 min), Guinan, Pugh.

Subs not used: Veiga, Beckwith, MacLeod.
