Man in hospital following "hammer attack" in Ledbury

A MAN is currently in hospital after being viciously assaulted in Ledbury last night.
It is understood that a hammer was used to attack the man in a flat in Lawnside Road at around 11.30pm.
The victim, who is in his 50s, was taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital with a suspected broken eye socket and a broken leg.
However, his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
The area was sealed off following the assault while forensics conducted their investigation.
Three to four men were seen running away from the scene and detectives are keen to trace them.
