Herefordshire musicians have the chance to perform in front of The Queen

HEREFORDSHIRE musicians are being offered the chance to perform before the Queen.

County musicians can volunteer to perform in front of Her Majesty on Herefordshire Diamond Day on Wednesday July 11.

As part of the day groups from across Herefordshire will be at the King George V Playing Field in Hereford to take part in an all-day gala.

The event will include parades and presentations, plus a special performance sequence before the Queen and Prince Philip.

Musical director for Diamond Day is David Evans, director of music at Hereford Cathedral School.

“We’re using the occasion to form a Jubilee Band, and we need woodwind and brass musicians to come forward who can join us on this great day”, said David.

Musicians must be at grade five or higher. Volunteer musicians can email info@herefordshirediamondday.co.uk or call 01432 261837.
