BINGO - The Friends of Marden Primary School host a bingo night tomorrow (Friday) in Marden Primary School. Doors open 6.30pm and eyes down 7pm. Refreshments will be served. There are prizes to be won and everyone is welcome.

GARDENERS’ ASSOCIATION - March guest speaker Michael Leech took members Down the Garden Path, to visit a number of less well known national gardens. An evening packed with interesting slides, Michael’s very professional presentation was both entertaining and informative as he took a journey from Scotland to Cornwall. We even learned how the leaves of comfrey, a plant that is converted into excellent liquid fertiliser, can be used to help heal injured limbs.

Visitors and new members to the club are always very welcome every second Tuesday of the month in the Community Centre at 7.30pm. April 10’s speaker will be Roger Umpelby on Plant Lovers of New Zealand. For more information, call secretary Len Day on 01432 880657. The spring show on April 14 is open to everyone in the parish of Marden so why not enter one or more of the categories or simply come along and enjoy a very pleasant afternoon. Teas/coffee and cakes are available. Show schedules, recipe for a banana cake and entry forms are obtainable from Len. The club has a trip to Highgrove on April 27, costing £46. For further details, contact Jane Stevenson on 01432 769489.
