A MAN sustained a broken cheekbone after being assaulted in Hereford city centre on Sunday.
Two men became involved in a row outside the Long Bar at around 9.30pm before going their separate ways.
However, they then got into a second confrontation outside Wetherspoons, which became physical.
One of the men, who is aged 30, sustained two puncture wounds to his face and a broken cheekbone.
Within minutes, it is alleged that a second assault happened on the other side of the road outside the RSPCA shop, involving a friend of the victim and the suspect.
No injuries were reported.
A 34-year-old man has been arrested and has been released on Police bail.
Police are keen to hear from any witnesses and anyone who saw a man wearing a green khaki coat in Commercial Road between 9.30pm and 10.30pm on Sunday night.
They can be contacted on 0300 333 3000.
