Herefordshire has been hit by heavy snow showers late this afternoon.
A heavy snow storm, moving south from Ludlow, resulted in dangerous driving conditions during the worst of the weather.
The Leominster area was hit by a blizzard which made visibility difficult for drivers before the storm passed over Dinmore Hill.
One motorist, driving to Hereford from Ludlow, reported his journey took twice as long as normal and described conditions as a "nightmare".
Driving over Dinmore Hill took 20 minutes, he said.
There were also reports of problems in the Kington area.
The storm is expected to be brief and result in a covering of snow rather than heavy deposits in most areas.
