LEOMINSTER MP Bill Wiggin has offered his support to a new advice line for lesbian, gay and bisexual people in Herefordshire.
Commenting on the phone line, which is being formally launched by the Rainbow Forum next Thursday at Hereford's Courtyard Theatre, Mr Wiggin said the service would offer crucial support.
"Dealing with issues of gender or sexuality can often pose challenges," he said.
"Young people in particular may find themselves feeling frightened, confused or isolated – with nowhere to turn and no one to turn to.
"In situations like this, a dedicated helpline run by volunteers able to identify with their concerns is a truly invaluable resource. For others it will offer an important supply of readily accessible, reliable practical advice and information."
