THE award-winning musical play telling the poignant story of Eva Cassidy, Over the Rainbow, comes to The Courtyard in Hereford on October 2.
It features a talented cast of performers and musicians, including Sarah Jane Buckley of Hollyoaks as Eva Cassidy, with Maureen Nolan as her mother and Brian Fortuna (of Strictly Come Dancing) playing Danny, her brother.
The show has been enjoying sell-out performances throughout the UK and Ireland.
Sad but uplifting, Over the Rainbow charts Eva’s life from her idyllic childhood growing up in a musical family, to her studio work with boyfriend and mentor Chris Biondo; to the exuberant live recording of Blues Alley and finally to her tragically premature death at just 33.
It includes more than 27 of her best-loved songs, among them unforgettable classics such as Fields of Gold, Songbird, Autumn Leaves, Kathy’s Song and many more.
