A HORSE is recovering after being shot by what appears to have been an air gun in Hereford.
Owner Kerry Walsh said that the attack on the 15-year-old rescue horse called Banana happened in a field near Bullingham last Sunday night.
“He is fine, but has got a puncture mark under his skin and is still a bit spooked as it must have been a shock to him,” she said.
“I have still got the pellet and cannot understand why someone would do this, as he is such a sweet horse who would come up to people at the gate if they came up to him.”
