A BREAST cancer sufferer will hike 32 miles just days after completing a course of radiotherapy next month for a county charity.
Helen Cleaver plans to walk from her Herefordshire home to Worcestershire on December 3 and 4 to raise funds for the Breast Cancer Haven in Hereford.
Helen, who was given a one-infour chance of survival following diagnosis last year, has completed various fundraisers since she discovered she had the condition and aims to raise £1,000 through her latest challenge, during which she will trek from the charity offices to Worcester Royal Hospital.
“I was in my hospital bed and I suddenly thought about walking between the two units which was a moment of real madness,”
she said.
“But I am keen to give something back to Hereford Haven which supports those with breast cancer and the hospital because it has really helped me.”
