A HEREFORDSHIRE MP forced to repay more than £4,000 in expenses could speak about his claims at a public meeting.

Disgruntled voters in Leominster are holding a meeting on November 2 to discuss Bill Wiggin’s expenses.

The MP was ordered to apologise to the House of Commons last week after a breach of parliamentary expense rules.

A report by the Commons Standards and Privileges Committee concluded that Mr Wiggin made inflated claims on his London home between 2004 and 2006.

Residents can read the report and discuss the findings at the 6pm meeting at Leominster Community Centre.

The event is billed as a town meeting to gather the response of townspeople to the parliamentary report into the MP’s claims.

Leominster mayor, councillor Roger Hunt, is scheduled to chair the meeting, which Mr Wiggin has been invited to attend.

*Mr Wiggin’s first public surgery in Leominster since the report takes place in Corn Square next Friday (Oct 29) at 5pm.

Residents can make appointments through 01568 612565 or by emailing office@nhca.org.uk.
