THE documentary about a legendary Herefordshire band will premiere in London this weekend.
The Ballad of Mott the Hoople gets its first public screening at the National Festival Theatre this Friday evening.
The 105 minute film is directed by Chris Hall and Mike Kerry and includes interviews with band members.
The film was made with the band’s co-operation and includes footage from last year’s reunion shows in Hammersmith.
Singer Ian Hunter hinted he would attend the premiere, part of the 54th London Film Festival, on his official website.
The documentary, produced by Start Productions, will be screened on Saturday and Monday ahead of its general release.
The 70s rockers, best known for “All the young dudes” reunited their original line-up last year to mark their 40th anniversary.
The band were offered several gigs after the five-night Hammersmith run, but seem unlikely to reform again.
