A TURN-out of near 25% delivered a win to It's OUR County (IOC) in Hereford's St Nicholas by-election.
IOC immediately aimed the result at "grandees" whom it said had dominated Herefordshire Council for too long.
"This is a line in the sand," said IOC leader councillor Mark Hubbard.
"We intend to repeat this performance right across Herefordshire at the local government elections next May," said Coun Hubbard.
The result puts IOCs Justin Lavender onto both Herefordshire Council and Hereford City Council. Rapper Anthony "Mouthmaster Murf" Murphy, standing for the Liberal Democrats, finished second.
